Return Policy

All sales on custom products are final, if you have any questions about the products before purchasing please contact us and we will do our best to answer any questions or concerns.

If in the event an item is eligible for a refund, the return shipping is paid by the buyer and the original shipping cost will not be eligible for a refund, only the cost of the product is refundable. The refund will be issued when the item arrives back to us in original condition. For safe return of the item(s), we recommend you choose a shipping method that is tracked and insured.
Buyer must contact us within 7 days of receiving the item for refund approval before returning the item.

Production Time

Production time can vary based on how busy we are at the time.  Most of the time it will be 3-5 weeks; however, this is only an estimate and it could take longer or shorter.  Production time does not include shipping time.  Rush orders may be available, please contact us before purchasing and inquire if we are able to do a rush order.

Cancellations

Please contact us and request a cancellation within 24 hours of ordering.  After 24 hours, we may or may not accept the cancellation based of whether product has begun.

Shipping

Shipping times are estimates made by Canada Post and not guaranteed.

Weather conditions and busy periods (like holidays) can affect the delivery time. It is unpredictable whether your item will be stuck in customs in your country for some time. After your package leaves our hands we will not be able to take responsibility for loss, damage or delays. We recommend picking shipping options with tracking and insurance.  We do not recommend shipping un-tracked (like Small Packet USA and Small Packet International), but we include these economical shipping methods to use at your discretion.  Once the package enters the postal system, it is out of our control but do contact us if you come across any issues and we will do our best to help.

You may be charges duties and taxes depending on your country and value of the package.  Customs fees, taxes or tariffs are the buyer’s responsibility. Learn more by contacting your local customs agency.

The Products

By purchasing our products you agree with our policies

Because everything is handmade, no two items will be exactly alike, but it will be very similar to the items in the pictures. Colors may show up differently on every computer monitor in comparison to real life therefore there may be some differences between the pictures and the product.  Each piece of leather also accepts dyes differently so there can be slight color variations.

Leather and suede do not do well when exposed to moisture.  We put water resistant coats on many of our products but this does not mean it is waterproof.  This coating will also wear off over time and water resistant coating will need to be reapplied. Please try to keep your leather products away from water and moisture for best results. Exposure can ruin the leather and suede and cause colors to bleed onto surrounding materials. Leather is a very hardy material, it can last for a very long time, however it does need some care on occasion (leather conditioner a couple times a year, weather resistant sprays etc).

New leather is quite stiff (especially the thicker leather used on items like gun slings), they will soften over time as your use the product and wear it in.  It is also normal for some leather to darken in color over time.

Most of our products are made from full grain vegetable tanned leather. Full grain leather is a high grade of leather and includes the top layer of leather. The top layer is the strongest part of the leather. Because it is the top layer of the hide, scars and imperfections are not uncommon. It adds character and uniqueness to each piece.

Safety & Legal Disclaimer

Our products are NOT toys and can contain small parts that are choking hazards.  Most items are not suitable for children. Items like slings and guitar straps as well as the bags and packaging it comes in can be strangling, choking or suffocating hazards. Keep away from children and pets.

Firearm Accessories:
Buyer agrees to use our firearm accessories only with a safe and unloaded firearm.
Buyer agrees to discontinue use of our products if there they are showing signs of wear and damage.
Buyer agrees to regularly check the products to ensure they are in safe working condition (for instance, check the chicago screws on slings before each use)
Buyer assumes all legality, liability and responsibility for the condition and use of all products purchased.
We will not be held liable for the misuse of any product purchased

Any injury or death occurring from a product purchased from Appaloosa Leather is the responsibility of the purchaser, his/her heirs, user of the product.
